CAAM: China exported 1.053 million vehicles in September, up 61.4%

Figures from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers show vehicle exports of 1.053 million in September 2026, 61.4% higher than a year earlier, with 571,000 of them new energy vehicles. Total sales including exports were 2.956 million, 8.4% lower year on year, as the home market stayed weak. From January to September, exports reached 8.205 million, up 65.8%, and new energy vehicles took a record 61.6% of September sales.
