BYD third-quarter profit rises 28.1% on exports but trails forecasts

In its filing for July to September 2026, BYD reported revenue up 13.6% and net profit up 28.1%. Exports in the quarter rose 137% to 550,704 vehicles, while nine-month net profit was 4.2% lower than a year earlier. Reuters noted the quarterly profit came in below analyst forecasts, and Electrek pointed out that inventories had grown 60% since the end of 2025.
