Chinese brands grow in the UAE while its first-half new car market shrinks

Zigwheels' review of UAE new car sales for January to June 2026 found overall volume down 25.8% year on year, with most established brands losing at least a fifth. Jetour grew 30% to enter the top five, and BYD appeared in the rankings for the first time, in sixth place. The Jetour T2 led the monthly chart in May and finished third for the half year.
