US Senate committee advances bill to bar Chinese-linked connected cars
Le texte du guide est en anglais.
The Senate Commerce Committee voted on 22 July to advance the Connected Vehicle Security Act of 2026 (S.4429), sponsored by Senators Bernie Moreno and Elissa Slotkin. The bill would write into law a ban on connected vehicles, software and hardware tied to China, Russia, Iran or North Korea, and would stop carmakers with more than 15% Chinese ownership selling in the US. It still needs a full Senate vote, and a House version must clear three committees.
