Beijing summons carmakers again over price cutting
Le texte du guide est en anglais.
China's industry ministry (MIIT) and market regulator (SAMR) jointly called in and warned carmakers on 11 June over suspected irrational competition, without naming the companies. Firms were told to follow pricing law, stop selling below cost and tighten quality control. Rules against selling under production expense had already taken effect in February 2026. The report said sector profits fell 18% in the first quarter and that carmakers kept 3.2% of revenue as profit on average.
