He Yi, deputy secretary-general of CAAM, told a forum in Tianjin that China's vehicle exports should reach 10 million units this year. April had already set a monthly record of 901,000 exports, up 74.4%, bringing January to April to 3.13 million. At home, passenger car sales fell 21.6% to 1.4 million in April, and the CPCA tied weak petrol car demand partly to high oil prices after the war in Iran.
