CATL reportedly gets last permit to restart its Jiangxi lithium mine

National Business Daily, quoting a person close to CATL, reported that the company now holds every certificate needed to reopen its Jianxiawo lithium mine in Yichun, Jiangxi, with the safety production permit the final one. Output there had stopped on 10 August 2025 after a mining permit lapsed, and an expected restart around the February 2026 Spring Festival did not happen. The halt had pushed up lithium carbonate prices in China.
