BYD's first-half profit drops 20.54% as overseas sales climb
BYD's interim report showed revenue for January to June 2026 down 7.13% and net profit attributable to shareholders down 20.54%. The company blamed foreign-exchange losses for the profit fall, while gross profit as a share of revenue rose to 18.85% from 18.01%. Overseas volume reached about 792,000 vehicles, up 67.8%. Chairman Wang Chuanfu said tight production capacity for the second-generation Blade Battery held back sales.
