CAAM: China's August vehicle exports top 1 million as home sales fall

China sold 2.712 million vehicles in August including exports, 5.1% fewer than a year before, while new energy vehicle sales grew 17.8% to 1.643 million, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). Exports carried the month: total vehicle exports reached 1.01 million, up 65.3%, and NEV exports were 526,000. Sales inside China dropped 24.2% to 1.701 million. NEVs reached 60.6% of all vehicle sales, the highest share on record.
